Bison Men and Women Drop Two Games to Minot

The Bison men hockey team drop two games to the #10 ranked Minot State University Beavers this past weekend by scores of 6-1 and 5-1 respectively. The Bison battled tough in game one, scoring the first goal of the game on a powerplay by Captain Josh Hinz on a nice backhand that beat the Minot goaltender high blocker side. The first period ended 1-1 but Minot's depth grinded away and took advantage of defensive zone breakdowns to bring a 3-1 lead into the third period and finish the game 6-1.

Shots on goal: NDSU 32, MSU 40

Game two was similar in style as Minot was able to gradually build up a 4-0 lead through two periods and finish with the 5-1 win. The lone bison goal came when Mitchell Benson buried a rebound off a shot from Isaac Anderson.

Shots on Goal: NDSU 31, MSU 41
